Amy Smart, an American model, actress and actor. Amy Smart, who was born and raised California USA began her modelling in Italy. Her first role as an actor was in the TV film Her Costly Affair. She struggled to get the role she wanted for her in Starship Troopers. This was not easy for Amy because she had to move from modelling into acting. Models aren't thought of as great actors so they tend to get smaller, insignificant roles. Amy did not give up. Her first major role came in The 70s followed by Varsity Blues. Amy later stepped into lead roles in 2005's romantic comedy Just Friends starring Ryan Reynolds. Amy was finally recognized by the industry for her performance in the last 10 years. She continued with significant films like the Crank series starring Jason Statham and the series Shameless in which she was an adored recurring character.
