Anya Taylor-Joy

Allya Taylor Joy was born on 16 April 1996 in Miami Florida. She is half English and half Spanish She is the child of Dennis Alan Taylor a former banker, and Jennifer Marina Joy a psychologist. Her father is an Argentine with Scottish and English descendance. Her mother is of Spanish and English descent. Taylor-Joy is the youngest of five children. Four of them come from her father's previous marriage. The family resided in Buenos Aires up until Taylor-Joy reached the age of six, later moving to Victoria district of London. Taylor-Joy says the move to London was traumatic and she did not take the time to learn English in order to prevent returning to Argentina. Hill House had to be her new school when she changed schools from Northlands. Later, she enrolled in Queen's Gate School where she was a ballet student and performed in school productions. When she was 16 she left college and began pursuing a career as an actress full-time. Since her early years, Taylor-Joy knew that she wanted to be an actor and her dreams came true after she was offered the opportunity to model Sarah Doukas the founder of Storm Management.
